I have been using OneNote on my Dell PC with all my ON files in DropBox. My Dell PC died and I now have a MacBook Air. My OneNote files are still in DropBox, but I do not see a way to open them from OneNote. I copied one set of files from DropBox to my OneDrive folder, set permissions such that Everyone has read/write privilege, but when I try to open them, OneNote says "We couldn't open that location.  It might not exist or you might not have permission to open it." and to contact the owner. I AM the owner! On my Mac,

I would like to continue working with the files in DropBox, but am willing to move/copy them to OneDrive, but I need a workable path.

Any help?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

I'm not sure which instructions you're following but if you haven't done so already you can try downloading the Dropbox app then log in with your account to access them there.

If that does not work then try using Edge or Chrome and go to https://dropbox.com and log in there to see if you're able to access the information.

    Thanks for the information.

If you're still unable to access the files it could be an issue if the OneNote apps are not the same version. However, you may want to start an online chat with support via https://support.microsoft.com and click on Contact Us for more help.
