    Thanks for reaching out Martyn,

If you've forgotten your Microsoft Edge primary password, there's no reset option. You have to delete your profile and start over. This will wipe out all your local passwords.

Be aware: If you weren't syncing to a Microsoft account, you'll lose everything.

First, check if sync was on:

In Edge, hit the three dots (...) > Settings.

    Go to Profiles>Sync.

If sync was on, you're good. If not, deleting your profile means losing your passwords.

Step 1: Nuke Your Edge Profile

    1. Open Microsoft Edge.
    2. Click the three dots (...) in the top-right.
    3. Go to Settings > Profiles.
    4. Find your profile, click the three dots (...) next to it.
    5. Pick Delete or Remove Profile. Confirm.

Step 2: Sign In and Get Syncing**

    1. Restart Microsoft Edge after removing the profile.
    2. Click the profile icon (top-right) and Sign in.
    3. Enter your Microsoft account info.
    4. Turn on sync. Your stuff, passwords included, will come back.

If the password you forgot is your Windows PIN, you can reset that in your PC settings and re-enter it in Edge. This only works if Edge uses your device password.

    Let me know what happens.
